Frequently Asked Questions
The main difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam are their placement and how they receive power.
Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard power outlets for nonstop power (AC Adapter).
Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes anywhere indoors or out. It’s weather-resistant and comes in four different power options: battery, plug-in, solar and Power over Ethernet.
Indoor Cam lets you disable motion recording and audio right from the app. Plus, you can also use the app to turn off motion alerts, so you don’t get notifications while you walk around your home. You can also schedule your motion alerts to turn on at the same time you typically leave the house and turn off at the time you typically return.
If you have a subscription to Ring Home, videos captured by your Indoor Cam will be saved to your Ring account for up to 180 days. You can also download your videos to save them for longer than 180 days.

No. You can still use Indoor Cam to watch over your home from anywhere, even without a subscription to Ring Home. Without Ring Home, you’ll still receive real-time notifications when motion is detected, and you can answer the notification to see, hear and speak to people on camera in real time from your mobile device.
